Schedules of Condition

Schedules of Condition are often prepared at the commencement of leases, to establish the state of premises at that time, with the intention of limiting dilapidations liabilities in the future. They are also commonly prepared in respect of neighbouring properties prior to commencing building work where there is a risk that there may be a subsequent accusation that damage has been caused. They are virtually always prepared as part of the work surveyors do when dealing with party wall awards.
